Welcome to Surf'n'Snow Backpackers - a fresh, modern, clean and stylish 146-bed hostel backpackers accommodation which is most centrally located in Auckland. Located just across from Auckland's spectacular Sky Tower and only steps away from shops and restaurants on the main street, you'll find everything at your fingertips.

We're in a newly refurnished, beautiful historic building with high ceilings and polished wooden floors. All the rooms and amenities are brand new and spotless. Find our newly painted blue and gray building on the corner of Victoria Street and Albert Street.
All the conveniences are just metres away - post office, supermarket, local bus stop, to name a few. We're ideally situated for catching the Link bus to cruise around the city, the Intercity bus for trips to other cities in New Zealand, and the Airbus to the airport.

Way too expensive for the condition of the room and very old and uncomfortable beds. We won't be back.

Well, it was certainly basic. Double room consisted of a double bed, linen, fan, table & wastebin! Shared bathroom was clean & tidy & everyone was friendly. Do remember to take at $20.00 cash so you can pay the deposit for the keys, otherwise you'll have to hand over your driver's license. I visited for one night during the week & it was quite noisy. However, at about 100 metres from the Sky Tower it was perfectly placed for my trip to Auckland.

Excellent location. Room had the bare essentials, but satisfactory as only on premises for showers and a good rest. Loved the Skytower looming outside my window while sitting on my bed. Great views of a very busy street and Sky City. Would definitely stay again.
