An imprint of your credit card will be taken and the final bill will be settled on check out. Guests paying by debit card will need to present a valid credit card on arrival. NZ$200 Cash Bond + Nightly rate will be required upon check-in if paying Cash / EFTPOS / Visa Debit. Please note that you may be asked for photo ID at time of check in.
Due to exciting developments at SKYCITY, please be advised that dine by Peter Gordon will be closed permanently from 31 May 2013 and The Lobby bar will be closed permanently from 23 June 2013.
The construction of two new restaurants, including a casual all-day offering, will be taking place on Level 3 of SKYCITY Grand Hotel over the coming months. We aim to keep any disruption to a minimum. Didn't enjoy the stay for the following reasons: receptionist was not friendly, was given a long face.waiting there for a while silently then realised the service was over a while ago. And when checkout,they asked me to pay again, until i presented them the travelbug payment receipt. Shower nozzle cannot be secured on the wall,you have to use one hand to lift it and the other hand ... Ridiculous bed makes noise everytime you move. Gorgeous rooms, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Was no problem checking in early, or checking out late. The room was ready for us by midday on the day we arrived without us having specified that we were checking in early, we were expecting to not be able to go up straight away, but it was nice to be able to relax for a little in the room before heading off. We got a city view room but it still had slight view of the harbour. Would definately stay there again!.

Had an awesome time, will definately stay there again... Went across to skycity for dinner then ended up donating some money to the pokie machines at the casino lol...cant wait to do it again.

Great stay, best hotel, nice freindly staff, very central would recommend this hotel to stay in Aucland. Would recommend the buffet Breakfast. Will be staying again next time we are in Auckland.

Not to bad was well above my expectations although we had a trainie that checked us in and didnt tell us where we went for breakfast and when we went to check out they tried to charge us again as traine hadnt put in we had already paid via travel bug luckly we still had our recipt on us would stay again

The door man was excelent. Checking in there were complications due to the fact that we had extended our stay to two nights. On entering the room we discovered that we had not been supplied with bath robes. So we rang and asked for some. Five hours later we rang and asked for some again and this time we got them. Then we order coffee via roomservice. Half an hour later we got very cold coffee. The next day we found we could not use our key after 11am again due to the confusion caused by extending our stay by one extra day. Returning to our room at 3.30pm we found we could not have a quiet bottle of bubbly, to celebrate our aniversary, due to the fact that the room was only just starting to be serviced. Taking our bottle down to the deck where the smokers go, we were told we could not sit and have a quiet drink due to the wedding reception taking place (that we were not part of). We shall never return to SKYCITY Grand Hotel Auckland.
