A great spot but a little hard to find - sign is a bit hard to spot as you drive by. Once i found the place i did a quick walk around the outside and thought i'd go somewhere else. Very glad i didn't, inside has been very well done anthe staff were very nice. good kitchen and comfy chairs in the loungs. massive feeds at the lil chinese shop 50metres away too.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good security. Off street parking is very limited. Younger children will find it an interesting place to stay. Thanks for an enjoyable stay, Jailhouse Rocks.

There should be some directions listed on website, how to get to the place from railway station etc. It would certainly help as most people are backpackers and are coming by public transport. Anyway, great stay, friendly and helpful staff. Thanks for making my stay in NZ great!!
