Hanmer Resort Motels are located right in the heart of the beautiful alpine village. We are also situated on a quiet side street away from the main road and traffic noise but only one minutes walk from the world-famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve as well as restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and many attractions.
If you are a family or group, or just a couple wanting a restful environment we have the accommodation suitable for you. Our units may not be posh, but they are comfortable, spacious, have kitchens and we also have sky TV.
We offer spacious studio units - ideal for couples. Our large 2-bedroom villas and family apartments have full kitchens, court yards and undercover parking for cars. Other facilities include coin-operated laundry with washing machine, dryer and ironing, and swings for the children. Pets by arrangement.
Our motel is set on more than 5000sq meters of flat landscaped grounds with lawn, trees and gardens. Space and comfort ensured in a relaxed environment!

Small back-yards and little playground on-site were great for the kids. Marvelous school playground just opposite the road. Quiet, tidy location.

The toilet seat would not stay up, but otherwise good, and very convenient for shops and hot pools.

It was awesome and i love the chairs that folded down and really loved the swing!!!!!!! isak aged 9 hanmer springs was 1 of my fave spots in nz, this resort really gave me a good impression because it was it was roomy and pleasant!!!! thx:) bronte aged 12 .

We've stayed here a few times. Location is great, facilities are very good, really like the place. A few minor gripes - electric blanket cord was broken and needed a bit of jiggery pokey to get it to operate. Disappointing as we raised this last time we stayed in that room. Second complaint is that the heater in the living room is too noisy. But overall i rate the place very highly as a traditional style / old fashioned nz motel that is really well suited for our family.

Hosts were lovely and the room was spotless, comfortable and quiet. The only thing i could fault it on was the front sliding door being broken and not able to be locked from the outside - we had to lock it from the inside and go out the back door. But not a biggy. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
