A nice site with very helpful and friendly staff. We had a motel room which was very comfortable and clean, with views across the park to the distant hills. The walkway went right in front of the rooms which slightly reduces privacy. The kitchen/dining area was large and spotless, but you do have to borrow any required tools and pans from reception. This site is a good ten minute walk to the town and sea-front, but there is a large supermarket a few hundred metres up the road.

We booked a stanard cabin but upon arrival decided to change to a motel unit. The unit itself was basic but very clean and comfortable with a queen bed and a single bed. The swimming pool and spas are lovely. The motel unit costed $148 for Waitangi weekend a bit pricey as the motel charged our 3 year old son as well. Only one soap provided and no shampoo and conditioner etc.

Stayed in a ensuite cabin earlier this week. All very nice, clean and tidy, great views, on main road but still quiet. The receptionist very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend as great value for money..
