16 Room family run lodge in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook Village. Each room is ensuite with king size beds & most with stunning mountain views including Mt Cook itself. The lodge has fully equipped kitchen with adjoining dining room, a spectacular lounge with fireplace and deck, guest laundry, internet wireless and coin operated, activity centre, small grocery shop all with friendly, knowledgeable and personalised service.

At first I thought mount cook's accomodation is expansive but after visiting other places in the south island I found the price charged is quite reasonable.

Exactly what we wanted. A well presented, clean, quiet accommodation with awesome views of Mt Cook. Very welcoming host. We were allocated a downstairs room with a queen size bed even though we had requested twin beds. The host didn't hesitate to upgrade us to a suitable room upstairs. I can highly recommend this lodge as well as The Old Mountaineers Restaurant across the road. Great atmosphere and food.

Perfect. Brillient view of Mt Cook from our downstairs room simply breath taking first thing in the morning with the sun on it hard to leave the area. Cooking facilities upstairs & spacious lounge area once again perfect view of Mt Cook. The staff very friendly & most helpful. Highly recommended. We dined at The Old Mountaineer owned by Charlie and Mary Hobbs. Charlie the Cheif Moutain Guide, Mary author of many books one of which is Matagouri It was just s stroll from Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge. We would certainly stay there again.

Awesome spacious common /kitchen/lounge area with amazing views of the mountains. We asked if we could up grade and it was not a problem. We were given a room upstairs with a lovely view of the mountains. Complemtary coffee or Tea was great after our drive up to the lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and inviting.

Excellent location, quiet and good natural environment. Beverages and cooking facilities in the spacious common kitchen/dining/lounge upstairs with views of the ranges including Mt Cook. We shopped at Twizel as we heard that dining at the restaurant next door would be at a premium. Helpful staff. We stayed in a small but adequate room on the ground floor.
