Welcome to the picturesque township of Lake Tekapo, found in the Mackenzie District of the South Island of New Zealand.
If it is clear skies and starry nights, awesome sunsets, pure air, peace and tranquillity you are seeking then this is the ultimate experience.
As you can see from Lake Tekapo's location it fits perfectly into a circular tour of the south part of New Zealand's South Island.
There's lots to see and do in the area, so why not make Lake Tekapo your base for a few days and stay in one of the 30 available houses or bed & breakfast at Tekapo House.
Your stay starts at Tekapo House where you meet Jenny and Peter who will give you the house key.
You will be given a free map showing directions to your house and the amenities available in the village.
If necessary we can even escort you to the house and help you settle in.

My family and i enjoyed our stay at lucy's patch. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the view of lake tekapo was stunning. We will definitely return again and stay longer.

The place was fantastic. So nicely presented, clean and very very comfy beds!! the hosts were friendly and helpful especially when we got lost finding the place. Would definately recommend it.
