Location is great but i wouldn't suggest staying in the beach front twin rooms . We stayed in room 5 which on the web site claimed they had been refurbished. If they had it was a long time ago as tthe rooms were very sad with frayed carpet, bamboo holding a blind up, rip in the couch...couldn't read at night as the lighting was so poor. Great hotel and lovely room. There was a slight mix-up with our booking caused by an incorrect email address which was quickly sorted out by the hotel staff and Travelbug. We were given a new room slightly seperate from the main hotel complex which had an awesome view and was very quiet. Dinner was superb and breakfast was also great. Great place to stay - although I wouldn't stay in the standard B&B King Studio - very standard indeed... although the hotel grounds, restaurant was amazing - food fantastic and staff friendly and cooperative. We had a most enjoyable stay, our room was very comfortable with an amazing view and the new winter menu, especially the watercress and horopito soup, was excellent. This property has the most amazing waterfront position and although not the most modern, is clean and comfortable, a great place to wind down from city life and enjoy the local cuisine and beautiful landscape.
