  • Lovely place to stay, very close to town, but quiet with on-site parking. All the staff were very friendly and the house was lovely and warm.

  • Came in at 5:45 Pm and left at 5:am but the friendly staff showed me where the coffee pot was along with the bread for toad and the cereal. Nice atmosphere and it was great to have Wi-Fi. The young lady who checked me in had just finished a veterinary course, she was extremely helpful and charming. Solsitce had gone missing a few days before my arrival. I do hope you found the pet. The young lady seemed very concerned

  • friendly staff, lovely rooms and reasonable prices, but the shared bathroom on the ground floor was totally blocked and couldn't take a shower!

  • Fantastic! They were ready for us to get there at 9pm on New Years Eve, the room was pretty quiet even though it was a street facing room close to the Octagon, and the breakfast selection was pretty incredible

  • Had expected the turrt room but given a room in the house next door. Linen need ironing. Breakfast room shabby.

  • Just as before....changed rooms just so we could have a look at another of them. Great atmosphere. A real favourite.

  • Very friendly and accommodating staff, cozy, relaxed. Not a swish sterile modern environment. Very comfortable. (Note: Access is a little tricky 'cos of steep driveway and stairs from parking below.) Thanks!

  • Absolutely fabulous! Roaring fire, books, videos etc. Lovely bubbly staff, gorgeous cats and incredible old house with real character. Loved our breakfast in the morning and was sad to leave. Will be back!
