My stay at the Shailers B&B was the most enjoyable of my entire trip. Dianna and Charles are awesome hosts, very personable with a great touch to details: fresh flowers and cookies with coffee and tea in my room. The bed was probably the most comfortable I ever slept in. I only stayed one night on my trip from Paihia to New Plymouth and was the only guest that evening so I had dinner with Dianna and Charlie. They made me feel very welcome and at home. Thanks Dianna and Chalie! HIGHLY REMOMMENDED 5

We spent a couple of nights and really enjoyed the genuine friendship and warmth of their hospitality. The property is also an operating dairy farm so for those unfamiliar with the farming way of life it provides an excellent opportunity to receive a personalised tour of the farm. We had a dinner the first night and two great breakfasts – substantial servings. The B&B is about 20 minutes out from the city but is an easy drive. Outstanding garden setting and rural landscape. We were attending a wedding in Hamilton and Dianna kindly printed off a map giving us driving instructions to the venue. We had chosen this Bed & Breakfast because it was No 1 on TripAdvisor and it lived up to the recommendation in every way. 5

Dianna & Charlie are fantastic hosts - lovely to chat with. Dianna whips up the best brekky ever and Charlie makes a wicked coffee! Room was lovely, good quality linen, etc. Little extras like the complimentary baking in our room & the chippies with our drinks on the deck was a nice touch. Beaut gardens & outlook. An added bonus was being offered dinner, which was extremely tasty & great value! Will definitely stay again when up that way next. Thanks guys! And thanks for the yummy pumpkins!! :-) 5

This was the best B & B we stayed in during our 6 1/2 week round the world trip. Helpful hosts, comfortable bedroom. Great deck for relaxing and enjoying superb breakfast. Only reason for not giving a "5" was an suite bathroom rather private would have added the icing.( the layout does not allow for this ) 5

I stayed at the Shailers B&B with my two children, as my husband couldnt make the trip to NZ (to visit with relatives). Charlie and Diana are warm and friendly people. My children hadnt stayed at a B&B before and kind of just merged into their family space, which was funny. However, once I realised that we had our own space I apologised and they said that we were welcome to join them. Charlie and Diana MAKE the B&B! Oh and of course the 416 Cows too! 5
