Loved our stay! very nice staff. Beautiful well appointed rooms. Huge comfortable bed and lovely linen. Great bathroom with underfloor heating. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in our room. And amazing ocean views! very central. Been before and will stay again. 5

Stunning rooms ,very modern, such a pleasure to walk into the bathroom with the underfloor heating. Stunning view even though the weather was rain and wind was lovely to walk into our unit and the heating had been put on was beautiful will definatelybe back to stay. We stayed for one night 18th may and would stay there again. Lovely rooms and nice sitting on balcony with a beer looking out at sea.thought the food was great with friendly staff and watched the crusaders have another win in the main bar with the locals. Would stay there again for sure. 5

Food was beautifully presented; but not quite to our taste. On our holiday, we stayed at 4 other locations. None were a patch on the beachfront. We really enjoyed our stay in a beachfront room and loved the sound of the ocean and being able to see it from the bed. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable and i loved the cushions and colour theme! i found it odd that there wasn't anywhere in the shower to hold soap etc but the pressure was great! the only negative was our food in the dining room. Whilst we only had entrees we were both disappointed in the quality, especially as the reception had said what great food it was. The service was also under par, but i think it was mainly because they were understaffed perhaps and therefore a little stressed even though the dining room wasn't full. The location is great, central in town so you can walk to everything and of course the beach on the other side. Also very reasonably priced. . 5

A terrific location with modern, clean rooms with nice comfortable beds and large tv's! - not that you need a tv with the great seaside view. The beach is right across the road, beautiful to walk on. The sound of the sea is wonderful to fall asleep to. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel. Great stuff guys!. 5

This was a fantastic venue. Our room (beachfront) was awesome - overlooks the sea and close enough to get spray on your face on a rougher day :0) had a nice little balcony to enjoy the view and eat at the table. The restaurant menu was quite varied and the food was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful (as all coasters are!). Hotel is central and everything is walking distance 9mind you hokitika isn't that big ;0) ). 5

Great stay. Top floor room-best hotel room we have stayed in. Comfy bed, great to have arm chairs in room - pulled up to doors and sat in comfort in the sun and enjoyed the views. Had bar meal at night and breakfast in the hotel. All good. Tree top walk will be fantastic when the birds return. $38 on the expensive side. 5

Fantastic deal - wonderful room overlooking the beach. And the driftwood sculptures. Marvellous service from all staff with helpful suggestions as to how to spend our food vouchers so we enjoyed great food and drinks. Absolutely wonderful to be back on the coast again and what a place to be!! looking straight out over the ocean was amazing and the storminess made it even better. We stayed, and dined, for my husband's birthday using a treatme deal. I had booked it as a surprise for him, and it certainly was a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay, and wished we could have stayed longer. The ocean view rooms have a fabulous view, spotlessly clean, lovely decor, and a comfy bed. The restaurant meal was lovely and the service fantastic. We hope to stay again sometime. . 5

Apart from the horrible cold windy rainy weather the hotel was absolutely well worth it and the $100 voucher and breakfast made it even better. What value for money and the room we stayed in overlooking the sea was just fantastic and exceeded my expectations. When you see photos on internet, you never know whether to believe them or not, but in this case the photos were honestly just as nice as the room. . 5

Couldn't have had any more atrocious weather, but the accommodation was just wonderful. The room was warm and very comfortable, and we could have watched the view out the window all day. With $100 for food and beverage and a free breakfast, it was great value for money. We would love to do it again one day but stay for two nights instead of one. . 5

The staff bent over backwards to give us an elevated room wsith outside balcony facing the ocean after our initial disappointment of being given a ground floor room which resticted the ocean view. What a great view of the sea we had after shifting upstairs the next day. The wild weather during our stay was a bonus. The evening meal was faultless and very good as was the breakfast the following day. The staff great and our warm quiet rooms extremely well fitted out. We certainly look forward to coming again and we shall make sure that when we book we ask for a top floor room. A great stay in a friendly and high class hotel. Thanks to all. . 5

Room was very nice with great views of the sea. Evening meal was lovely but the restaurant is very draughty. Breakfast was terrible because everything in the supposedly heated containers was cold. I asked for hot food and got it though the bacon was very greasy. We would stay there again however and hopefully things would have improved. 5

Nice hotel etc and great room and service as well, was a little annoyed that when we went for breakfast as told that we only had $10 each to help pay for breakfast when clearly on the voucher it said free cooked breakfast with nothing to say it was only $10 towards it each. When i left impressions were good etc, but the fact of after checking my visa statment a few days later and finding they had charged me stuff from the mini bar which we didnt even touch dampened my thoughts of the place. We did get our refund after a couple of days of ringing up. 1

The economy room was very basic. Biggest complaint was that the ensuite has no counter space on which to put anything, and it has a very small sink, more like a toilet handbasin. Great location, though, right on the beach. 5
