Our time at the Timandra was great.The staff looked after my family right from the time we arrived to the time we left. Clean and tidy but very '1960's. Nice to have flowers on table and bed was comfortable. Owners seldom seen. Lucky person (who commented on 16 Oct) and got a deal for $89! The rooms are very basic, however we got them a special price($89)and therefore worth the money. They were clean, comfortable and very quite. The six of us stayed a night in the 2 bedroom family units with the kids sleeping in the portable beds in the living room. The motel is old but is clean and all the necessities are provided. Unit was very clean and just what we needed. Two bedrooms, separate bathroom and kitchenette. Had extras like heaters, extra blankets and pillows, radio and hair dryer, as well as usual bathroom products and kitchen stuff. Very clean and quiet with nice relaxing grounds. Friendly service. Sky and free WIIFI a great feature. Plenty of places to walk in the area. We booked for 6 people. The unit had a room for 2 singles, another for 1 double bed and 2 singles in the living dining area. It was cosy, clean and quiet and we could even watch Welleington Phoenix match on Sky1! Close to all amenities, staff were helpful. The room was of a high quality - in fact the bed was the most comfortable I slept in for the entire 3 weeks of our holiday, with good pillows also. We arrived late and this was catered for very well. Lovely old property so close to town centre but no traffic noise. New owners are refitting units out. The new bed was so comfortable it was just like being at home.
