Fiordland Cruises

Welcome aboard the MV Southern Secret; each day during the summer we visit Doubtful Sound with up to 12 individuals, on a personalised overnight journey. Throughout the day we cruise the inlets of Doubtful Sound, sightseeing and exploring the history and splendor, we will pause at many features for photographs and to savour the spectacular scenery and wildlife. Activities onboard can include fishing, crayfishing, mammal watching and star gazing on clear evenings. Our flexible timetable means each cruise varies to suit the interests of our guests.

The MV Southern Secret is an excellent vessel for your Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise. She is roomy warm and dry, has a comfortable living and dining area with big windows for viewing the fiord. The top deck, bow and stern are fully accessible as we cruise. Our traveling speed on the fiord is around 9 knots. The MV Southern Secret accommodates a maximum of 12 passengers plus crew on our journeys. Onboard our cabins are double/ twin or triple cabins; each cabin has it's own ensuite bathroom, a small reading light above each sleeping position and all bedding and towels are provided; we just ask that you bring an overnight bag with personal belongings.
