Fiordland hotel is basic but it was spotlessly clean and the guy on front desk was incredibly helpful in getting our booking down for the day at milford sound which was one of the best days of my life!.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are in the process of refurbishing all of our rooms and have completed 70% of them. This being said it is particularly pleasing for me to get positive feedback on the cleanliness of our rooms and the service provided by our team. We enjoyed Fiordland Hotel. It was clean, wonderful lady on the desk, she made sure we were up early enough to catch our bus for the Milford and Doubtful Sound Tours. We were in walking distance of downtown restaurants and grocery stores, and enjoywed our visit. Someday you will have to do some upgrades, whish may put it out of our price range.

Thank you also for the comments on how clean the room was, this is a service area and one where we will not compromise. Yes we will be refurbishing those rooms soon as we have with over 75% of the hotel. I can assure you though, we will remain very competitive on price as we have with our refurbished rooms. The staff here could not have been more helpful even before I got there. I'd overbooked and a refund was made immediately. When I did arrive everything was sorted out promptly and I had a very pleasant and comfortable room for my 2 night stay. The manager was more than helpful over the very small hiccup with the restaurant. And he guaranteed me good weather for Doubtful Sound - after the event, but all the same.... A good value, comfortable, well positioned hotel with helpful sstaff. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

I do apologise about the pool, I can assure you both spa pools are cleaned on a regular basis however on occassions some guests do spoil this for others.
