Te Anau is the closest town to Milford Sound. Stay with us and enjoy a day trip (2 hour drive) to Milford Sound at your leisure. Take the hassle out of your journey to Milford! Let us help you plan your stay and trips so you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Fiordland. Walk the many mountain and bush tracks (suitable for all ages), or try the challenging 18-hole golf course (all gear can be hired) and take in some lovely views.

Visit the glow-worm caves with a trip up Lake Te Anau that in summer provides a unique playground for fishing, yachting and waterskiing or take in our two spectacular fiords - Milford and Doubtful Sounds.

Fiordland and the surrounding area boast some of the finest trout fishing waters in New Zealand, a must for the fishing purist. Helicopter, float plane and fixed wing trips can be arranged. We are booking agents for all these trips and bookings can be made prior to or on arrival.
