  • Such a beautiful family home (and family!), we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Phil and Rosemarie looked after us so well, especially when our luggage didn't arrive for 3 days! (Note; bags don't check through automatically from Auckland to Napier!!). Phil and Rosemarie are so friendly, they always had time for us and I did enjoy (& miss) our conversations! They gave great travel advice and the house is full of brochures for ideas of what to do too. Breakfast was always excellent and the location of the house makes it a great base to travel between Havelock North/Hastings and Napier. We loved playing pool in the games room and were even allowed to borrow their bikes, we rode all the way to Napier one day, 38km though stunning vineyards and coast line (we got a taxi back though with the bikes in the back!). After 2 wks we were actually really sad to be going and I usually can't wait to go home after a long break) just speaks volumes about their hospitality. 5

  • This stay exceeded our expectations. We booked two rooms. They were beautifully fitted out, clean and welcoming. The hosts were generous in allowing us to borrow two bikes to cycle around the excellent pathways around the Bay. We sat on the lovely front lawn in the late afternoon sun and shade, and our hosts made sure it was a relaxing end to a day of exercise. The front lounge is lovely old-style comfort. Phil and Rosemarie made excellent recommendations for meals. The accommodation was well-priced, and the breakfast just right. 5

  • We stopped off here on our way to lake waikaremoana and were treated to a clean, comfortable and peaceful stay. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast yummy. The sun room adjoining our room was a great place to have a tea/coffee and enjoy the scenery. We also enjoyed watching the deer in the paddock. We would definitely stay there again if heading back to the area. 5
