Come and stay in this 150 year old colonial home. Set in three quarters of an acre of award-winning gardens.

The Parsonage is in the heart of Napier, yet it feels like you are in the country with its quiet and peaceful ambiance and sea views. Only a short walk to the Marine Parade with all of its attractions including the Ocean Spa Gym and Hot Pools and the City Centre.

John and I share our home with our Pug dog and cat. As an artist I enjoy many creative outlets including my painting, leadlighting and mosaics. As a result our home and garden is full of fun and interesting creations.

The Parsonage offers a separate guest floor with 3 rooms, comprising of 2 double bedrooms and a private guest lounge. We cater for up to 4 people travelling together.

  • A very comfortable and homely place, John and Lynne such kind and thoughtful hosts, and the garden is a mini botanical masterpiece! We agree with a previous visitor that the bathroom is rather a long way for elderly folk to reach in the night and glad to hear that a nearer bedroom is planned for the future. The situation is perfect for visiting city on foot. 5

  • So glad you both enjoyed your stay with us Catherine. We plan to have the double twin just opposite the bathroom ready soon after Christmas. Enjoy the rest of your stay with your lovely new baby and family. Lynne and John

  • Great character villa very well situated on lower Bluff Hill closeto conference centre, waterfront and city centre. Most hospitable and helpful hosts. Bedrooms upstairs with own sittingroom, very well appointed and comfortable, but shared downstairs bathroom a bit far away especially if you need to get up at night. On-site parking slightly tricky to manoeuvre especially in a big vehicle. 5

  • Good to hear from you both. Thanks for the feedback. The new twin bedroom directly opposite the bathroom downstairs will be very popular i think in 2012. John and i are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us.Look forward to seeing you both again if you visit Napier .

  • Just wanna say the Parsonage in Napier is a fabulous homestay, which lives up to its name with awesome grounds and warm generous hosts. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, or just relax at the homestay. Definitely intend to stay again. Warmest regards Jennie and Pete - Wellington. 5

  • We dont often stay at B & B's, but this was absolutely fantastic, our only disappointment was that we only stayed for 1 night. Had we been able to stay for another night we would have made good use of all the delightful areas in the garden and sat back and chilled out with a glass of wine or two. We could have stayed at a motel, which would have been dearer, it would have been noisier, whereas we had peace and quiet. We wouldn't have had a really great continental breakfast included in the tariff (thanks Lynne for the delicious fruit from your garden). We will definitely be back and we highly recommend The Parsonage. Probably shouldn't rave on anymore as next time we go to book, there won't be any vacancies. Good on you John & Lynne 10/10. Regards Paul & Karen. 5
