Fantastic. The staff were so helpful when we phoned to say we would be delayed. They went out of their way to accomandate our needs and made our stay hasle free. Yes its an old building but boy have they done a good job at updating the rooms without loosing its appeal. Amazing building and amazing customer service. Looking forward to staying there in the summer so I can sit out on the balcony and enjoy all that Napier has to offer.

Interesting night!!!! Read the comments before the booking!!! So we didn't aim for any elegant room before we get there. Some misunderstanding with the booking but the reception quickly fix it, which we ended up having a bigger room than we should be!!! As I said, dont look for any fancy in this hotel. Yet, look for the feel of classic and historical art would be much better for your expectation. The room is ok!! Tidy and clean. I did wait for a long while to have hot water running in my shower (there's a review mentioned no hot water) but as long you wait a while it will get there! It's a old building. So wont blame it for a phew bads.. It was quiet in our room at night (a review said was noise and couldnt go to sleep). So it guess it depents on which room you get and we happened one of the lucky one who did get a quiet room. Love the balcony and the view over there!! Abs lovely sitting over there in the morning watching the ocean.

Brilliant stay, couldn't have asked for anything more. An excellent vibe to this art-deco style hotel with conveniently attached restaurants/bars. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks very much for a more than pleasant stay!

I am so disappointed. This is pub accommation and was not what i was excepting. single beds??? my mistake... the toilet made such a horrible noise about 4 mins after use.... the beds had leans on the outside and i had trouble staying in the bed on that side... but the worst was NO HOT WATER in the shower in the morning.... i couldnt wait to get out.....a bit sad as i thought this place had been made over... On the good side... the place was very clean and the shower was spotless
