Staff at the County Hotel are very helpful and standard of service is quite high. We enjoyed our meal at the restauraunt but the continental breakfast buffet the next morning was very disappointing. The fresh fruit was not very fresh at all and the choices were very limited. I think a hotel of this standard should be able to do better. We had a very nice room but the shower curtain around the cast iron bath/shower was quite smelly - not so nice. Overall we would stay there again but this time we would request a room with a shower and breakfast in the cafe down the road. Eva & Jose

WOW... This hotel is absolutely fab-u-lous! The service was first class, the building was immaculate with everything finished to an exceptionally high standard. The library is great. The beds were comfortable, very warm room (frosty winter morning unnoticed) with very high quality towels, linen & bedding. Highly recommend this property & I will definitely be back (longer stay next time I hope). This place is a 'must stay' when visitng Napier to make sure you get into the true art deco experience. Cheers!
