Confusion over dinners, like others. I thought there were two included, but only one. Reception also informed us there was only one breakfast, but later corrected their mistake. The food was good, but both days the cooked breakfast buffets were almost cold. The buffet dinner on saturday night was only average, and again was almost cold. Top class staff, courteous and attentive.

As part of a discount deal i give it a thumbs up, but if i were paying full rates it would have been a thumbs down. Like others i felt i had been misled about only the one dinner being included in the package. We had the buffet roast which was limited in selection and the roast potatoes were soft from being under a lid instead of under heated lights to keep them crunchy. Loved the little pancake maker :-) service and staff assistance was fantastic. Room ok, but out the back with view/sounds of the 'big motor' even though i had requested a view over the pool, get what you pay for i guess? the grounds were immaculate, as was the large pool, though it lacked atmosphere (nice chairs/plantings would enhance). The small pool near the office was yuk ... At least 20 flies+other insects+scummy-stuff on the surface and algae build up on the bottom/sides ... Obviously uncleaned for a few days or more. Would consider staying on a similar deal again but i wouldn't stay at full rates.

We stayed for 2 nights. Thought all the staff were great - the meals were lovely. The grounds were very well maintained. It was a thoroughly relaxing stay with lots to do or not - you decide.

Really enjoyed our stay here - staff very helpful, facilities excellent and food delicious. The treatme set menu wasn't quite as exciting as the ordinary menu, but the quality of the food was good and the portions generous. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our second night as well, and the food on the ordinary menu was exquisite. Not needing to book the spa pools was a bonus. Do be aware that the hotel charges for outside phonecalls, even if within taupo - this isn't made clear in the hotel guide. Anyway, would definitely come here again.

I am unable to see what the gripes are about, we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay, the staff were very friendly the facilities and meals were top class and the rabbits were a joy to behold. .

Always a most enjoyable place to stay. Comfortable room and overall great facilities including the dining would much rather stay at such a resort as compared to a night in say a hotel facility in wellington. Overall a great "treat me" deal. Well worth the 3 hour travel time.

Was a lovely break away to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Very impressed with the accommodation & breakfast. The dinner was incorrectly advertised as 3 courses instead of 2 on the email from travel bug, but the maitre 'd honoured it anyway - however there was no indication that the meal was a set menu.
