Turangi ,at southern end of Lake Taupo.
Very quiet – away from main roads, set in 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens and tree clad grounds .Private access to the famous Tongariro River. 25km from Tongariro Crossing. 45 Minutes to Whakapapa Ski Fields.
Mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom suites, all with queen or king beds in separate bedrooms. 4 new Executive double glazed suites . SKY TV 32" . All suites have air conditioning/heat pumps .
All suites are self-contained with fully equipped kitchens and private patio areas for alfresco dining.
2 access suites .Guest laundry with gas dryer and machine
6 covered gas BBQs set in and around the gardens withan all weather area.
Fish cleaning and freezer storage.
5 minutes by car to Thermal Hot Pools and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms and the garden setting made for a very restful, quiet stay. We only stayed one night while journeying south but would happily stay again. .

As always a fantastic place to stay. Grounds are stunning and it is great to be able to walk out the back fence to the river. Quality furnishings in the rooms. Highly recommend and definitely will return.

We still enjoyed a pleasant 6 night stay in an "executive" suite despite not being able to use the settee and easy chair which (to us at least!)had a strong residual smell of what may well have been dry-cleaning solvent. Full marks go to friendly Management, the exceptionally comfortable bed and very handy and efficient communal on-site laundry.

Had a great four night stay, it was a perfect base for fishing and hiking. Would definitely go back.

We loved our stay at Creel Lodge. It's clean, quiet, very well equipped, very reasonably priced and run by lovely, friendly hosts. We arrived late so they had the key in the door and the light and heaters on ready for us. The setting, right beside the river, is lovely and it's a great base for anyone wanting to ski Mt Ruapehu - just a 40-min drive to the ski fields. Highly recommend Creel Lodge and will definitely be back again.

We had a lovely stay at creel lodge. the setting is just beautiful and very peaceful. The units are very clean and well maintained and the beds were comfy. we will definitly be back :)

Beautiful gardens, a restful haven. So handy to all the fantastic walks, either along the river or up the mountain. Lovely and clean, well managed with very helpful staff. Have been recommending Creel to all our family & friends.
