Whare Kea Lodge

Designed to capture the setting's unique feeling of space and light, Whare Kea appears to float above the water allowing guests to enjoy the magnificent vistas in an intimate atmosphere.

Whare Kea accommodates a maximum of twelve guests. Two suites offer king size beds, a further four deluxe rooms can be arranged as twin or king beds according to your requirements. Each room has its own luxurious bathroom with bath and separate double shower, all with direct access to the sun deck.

The day starts with a sumptuous smorgasbord breakfast in the early morning sunshine, and you can fill your days with any manner of outdoor activities or simply relax and enjoy the absolute privacy and luxury the lodge provides.

Beautiful lakeside walks start right at the front door. Overnight hikes and longer excursions can be arranged with local guides, along with a heli-hike / picnic with a gourmet lunch. Spring and autumn are best for trout and salmon fishing in the surrounding lakes and mountain rivers. The region boasts three spectacular golf courses. During the winter months from July to October, Whare Kea provides the ideal base for heliskiing in the Harris and Buchanan mountain ranges.

To ensure easy access to these activities Whare Kea can organise for a private helicopter charter to collect and return you to the front lawn of the lodge.

At the end of the day indulge with a massage or just relax with a drink in the spa overlooking the lake. Then enjoy a four course dinner on a table d'hote basis using only the freshest and best local produce. After dinner play snooker in the games room or simply lounge by the fire.
