We stayed on the way to wellington and then again on our way home as we thought the accommodation was so great. Lovely friendly service, with delicious home made muffins on arrival. Just what the doctor ordered! very convenient to town and supermarkets. Lovely tidy and clean facilities. Highly recommended. We bussed down to levin from auckland 13/10/2012 (family wedding) and arrived at 5.30am - as promised daphne was awake to show us to our studio unit just before 6am. She gave us some cute muffins for our breakfast which i thought was very lovely. Also our studio unit was spotless! i was very impressed with how clean & organised & again how clean it was! i have no hesitation in staying there again & recommending totara lodge motel! another plus is it was right in town so close to all amenities mcdees, countdown & bus station etc - we were able to walk everywhere. Thankyou dave & daphne.

We stayed a night in a studio unit whilst travelling between christchurch & auckland in july 2012, and in the same unit on the return journey. Whilst very compact in size the unit was spotlessly clean and great value for an overnight stay. Totara lodge is in a quiet street away from the noise of sh1 & the railway line. The rsa club is across the road offering fine fare on wed - sat nights. We would unhesitatingly stay here again. .

This is a great place to stay. It's quiet and Daph and Dave made me feel very welcome. The room was small but all the amenities were modern and it was an excellent overnight stay. I'd highly recommend it.

Fantastic stay. Room was really clean and tidy all we could have asked and Daphne was just wonderful. Totally recommend. In these days of clinical service it is nice to go to a motel that is just simply a good old fashioned kiwi welcome as a friend service.
