Pioneer Motel

We warmly welcome you to the Pioneer Motel, situated on the Pioneer Highway, just a few minutes from the centre city and amenities of Palmerston North. Our motel is a ground floor complex that provides clean, comfortable, well-equipped units with parking (for 1 car) directly outside your unit. The motel also has a fully fenced in ground pool.

Accommodation available includes 9 x studios, 3 x one bedroom and 1 x three bedroom family units; all units are equipped with microwave, toaster, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, electric blankets, heating & 9 have fully equipped kitchenettes. Also available for guest use are the pool, hair dryers, portable cot & highchair. Available for a small fee are guest laundry, spa, internet, fax & photocopy facilities.

We welcome any enquiry whether large or small; our motel is able to take a group of approximately forty plus. Written quotes can be prepared for your group within 24 hours. Just ring or email with your requirements and leave the rest up to us. We accept and cater for group bookings, working contractors and long term stays. We also have a good clientele of the general travelling public, and enjoy return business from our satisfied customers.

All major credit cards & Eftpos are accepted; BarterCard for some bookings.


Palmerston North offers, amongst other interests, excellent shopping for everything and everyone, an assortment of multi-cultural restaurants, cafes, and/or bars to choose from; the Convention Centre, Conference Facilities, live theatre, many churches, and several other activities in the area or within close proximity, to pass away the time.
