We were disappointed with this motel and will not stay there again. However, many of the criticisms we would make have already been made and we note that the proprietors have not accepted criticism well or constructively. Suffice it to say that for only $80 per night for a couple we have had a beautiful well-appointed and spacious bach in taranaki with fantastic 360-degree views, and for a large modern apartment close to queen street in auckland we, as one of two couples, paid just over $100 a night. Tourist court motel's prices and facilities don't stand up well in comparison with such as these. We arrived just as digital tv was becoming obligatory. However, despite having had three years' notice that this was going to happen the owners had to apologise to us that they hadn't yet had it changed over so we would be unable to watch tv. Very handy to town as it is in the main street. We found it very noisy at night due to the proximity of bars and clubs. The motel is in need of a makeover.

Poor choice and motel need an update. Linen was very old. Bed comfortable, but room was very small.. People were very nice though.

Very basic accommodation (old hostel standard) at inappropriate price. We paid $115.00 per night. Clean only on arrival, after that no room cleaning any more, were told daily room cleaning is not common. Dated interior, no wardrobe, only 1, 2, & 3 tv, broken toilet roll holder etc. Never again!.

Very clean and comfortable. Great to know we could access our unit after hours as arrived on a late ferry. Good recommendation for a scenic drive the next day.

For the price it was ok. It is obviously a bit tired but as it is on the market for sale, i can understand that.
