The Mudcastle

Recently filmed as one of the “World's Most Extreme Homes”, The Mudcastle is situated in the beautiful rolling countryside of Upper Moutere, Nelson and is created from the clay beneath us. If you are looking for a place to stay that is memorable and inspirational, we invite you to experience one of the three suites we offer. The Peach Suite is a sumptuously decorated Queen suite of adobe construction with private entrance, balcony, romantic outdoor bath surrounded by fairylights and private swimming pool that spills down to a larger pool some distance below. The Gold Turret is also a Queen suite situated in a two storey fairytale turret overlooking the medieval orchard, private and self-contained with opulent furnishings and extravagant bathroom. The Rose Suite is a King suite situated upstairs, luxuriously spacious with double wardrobes, relaxing pastoral views from all windows and internal wooden shutters for additional cosiness. Alternatively The Mudcastle can be hired exclusively with accommodation for up to 14 people.
