Mohua Motels offer 20 modern upmarket units - 15 ground floor units and 5 upstairs units (2 with spa baths). The upstairs units are all Studio units. The ground floor units consist of Studio, and 1 & 2 bedroom units in a rural setting just a minute's easy walk from Takaka township.

All units have full kitchen facilities, sky TV, hair dryers, free in-room internet using broadband, some with wireless, iron and ironing board. The 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom units have a dish drawer. One unit is designed for the disabled traveller.

The Motels ambience is one of restful colours, warmth and serenity, enjoying rural views and the ranges in the west from a sun drenched patio. The grounds are designed with native and flowering plants encouraging bird life to complement the sound of the nearby river; adding to the tranquility of the Motel's setting.

Mohua Motels provide a serene place where guests can relax and recuperate after the scenic drive over the Takaka Hill. A courtesy pick up to and from Takaka Aerodrome and the Motels is available.

Mohua Motels is a short walk to restaurants, hotels, cafes and shops in Takaka and is adjacent to the bus depot, supermarket and the Golden Bay i-site where you can discover the many treasures to explore in the bay and how to get there. There is also an abundance of arts and craft studios' nearby with something special for everyone.

Mohua Motels is centrally located between Abel Tasman National Park and Kahurangi National Park.
