The Cats Pjamas Bed and Breakfast is a quality assessed organic B&B nestled in three undulating acres overlooking the sea. We're away from it all and yet close to everything! 15 minute drive west of Nelson Airport,5 minutes to Mapua and 35 minutes to Abel Tasman National Park.
Our two comfortable guest bedrooms have been designed to provide a relaxing environment and tempt you to a restful sleep.
Breakfast is served on our large deck with spectacular views. Lis enjoys providing you a lavish organic breakfast including fruit and vegetables grown on our property and most items made from scratch. We also happily cater for vegan and gluten free preferences.
You're welcome to enjoy our mature gardens, make use of our Endless pool,gym and Magmed sauna. Alternatively rent a bike and explore the many award winning wineries, art galleries and quaint villages in our region.
We hope you will consider Cats Pjamas for your next getaway. Lis looks forward to pampering you, Chris looks forward to training with you if you are a triathlete at heart. Our cat Tia looks forward to any tummy rubs you might like to give her.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at The Cat's Pjamas. I only wished it could have been for longer and less rushed :). Thanks again for waiting up for us, your kindness in the madness leading up to the wedding, and the lovely 3 cheese omelette with relish and red grapefruit juice. Definite highlights. The room was very comfortable. Large bed with plush carpets. Lovely country garden feel and the grounds are beautiful. Wished i had stayed longer. Lis & chris are wonderful hosts, with great ideas of things to do and see in their region. In addition to having on hand lots of brochures and tourist information to browse through, at your leisure. I stayed in max's room, which was lovely. The rooms (including ensuites) are generously sized and very comfortable & clean. Breakfasts were tasty and came with views to die for. The cats pjamas offers the lot - suggestions for doing and seeing or just kicking back and relaxing. Either way, it is a winner.

My stay at Cat's Pjamas was a lovely experience from beginning to end. Lis is a wonderful host and after just a few hours she seemed like more of a friend than a host. She helped me with ideas for where to go and what to do, and took me to the summer open theatre in Nelson which was a highlight of Lis and Chris' hospitality. I highly recommend this accommodation, which has a breakfast to die for and a view to wake up for.

My husband and I spent three days at Cats Pjamas in January 2013. Cats Pjamas was our base to explore Abel Tasman, Nelson, Motueka and surrounding northern portion of the South Island. We visited Haikerikeri, Abel Tasmana and Anchorage using Wilson's Ferry, Botanic Garden in Nelson, and visited the mountains, sights and small towns on the road to Collingwood. We had the smaller room, Max, which was a fairly spacious room an with attached bathroom. Everything was neat, orderly, clean, and located in a garden setting. The bathroom facilities seemed quite new. We enjoyed fresh fruit and gluten free breakfasts, tea and hot chocolate prepared each morning by Lis. Lis is very attentive and helpful with advice about sights in New Zealand and tuned in to what activities you night enjoy. Since we are world travelers, she helped us narrow down to the most valuable destinations. Lis has become "a friend" by getting to know her during our booking process and three day stay.

From start to finish we felt welcomed and cared for. The room and ensuite were both fresh and immaculate and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the sunny deck with views to die for.
