Why be in the city? when only 4km south is a great beach "Tahuna Beach"
Come stay with us and enjoy warm safe swimming, lounging on the white sands or the more adventurous try the kite/paddle boarding on offer.
Tahuna is a great place with cafes, restaurants, tennis, golf and family fun park all here! also there is a pub/bottle store nearby so you can enjoy that glass of wine on our deck while you watch the sun go down!
We offer free pick up/drop of from the airport/bus station plus have ample off street parking.
Our spacious sunny hostel is waiting for you to make your holiday something special, with our variety of rooms and great facilities including free WiFi and bikes! its the place to be this summer!
ps: new attraction for the summer season, Tahuna has an ice skating rink!

Be careful here.....we made a booking ( 2699388 ) but on arrival we found our room was taken. Was offered a dorm but that was not our thing. The owners claimed that they never received a conformation but did give us a cash refund........ Would any one give out a cash refund without booking notice ex travel bug.. I think not.. Had to find accommodation else where.

So sorry Cindi and Kevin.I was unable to find your booking in my system when you arrived. I had no vacant rooms left and asI explained to you at the time I had a sick young daughter at home alone who I left to try and sort things out with you, which is why I decided to give you a cash refund on the spot so you wouldnt be out of pocket and I could get to the bottom of things with travel bug at a later date. I even tried to find alternative accomodation for you. I really tried to do everything I could, so sorry this left you so upset, please accept my sincere appologies again.

Excellent location for the beach (bike ride away from town), very comfortable bed in the double private room, laid back and welcoming atmosphere, clean facilities.

We stayed for one night and it was a pleasant stay in early december. It was a fun, quiet night reading and playing board games from their collection of books/games. Nice, clean facilities; kitchen well-equipped.

The hostel was very clean and the kitchen was great (dishwashers!!!). BUT we got a double room without a proper window. We just had a window to the staircase. Furthermore we neither had power plugs nor any bed lamps. The room smelled stuffy! The staff did not want to give us another room, because they were to lazy to change bookings. At new years day we got kicked out at 10.00 in the morning. If there hadn't been any other nice people staying in the hostel, the atmosphere would have been very cold and unfriendly!

It was due to other bookings that we could not help with a room change witch was explained to them when they asked. They never said nyhing about th room being stuffy in the three days hat they styed with u and i was 10.30 when they were reminded that checkout time was 10.00. This did seem to upset them to have to leave and makes it a shame that they had to respond to this problem from afar a week later.

Definitely not 24 hours like it says on this website or another. But we were able to find them afterward. Small place, pretty empty in the off season (early December) So we got a room to ourselves. didn't stay there long but it was pretty clean.
