Decks of Paihia has been recently constructed as a purpose built bed and breakfast facility. Located in central Paihia on the hill above the main village, your friendly hosts Philip and Wendy Hopkinson have spent the past 11 years involved in the hospitality and tourism sector, and offer a very high standard of accommodation in their new home. They are also keen to share their extensive knowledge of the Northland region and New Zealand with visitors to their home. The guest rooms are all stylishly furnished with air conditioning available, and contain ensuite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities and very comfortable interiors to make your stay memorable. All rooms open onto sun-drenched decks. Complimentary broadband and wireless internet in each room and all public areas.

First time visit to NZ from Australia, my wife and I stayed with Phil and Wendy at Decks of Paihia for two days in March 2010. They are friendly people with a good sense of humour. Accommodation is very clean and of a very high standard with the hosts providing good advice on the local area, attractions and restaurants. Continental breakfast included with the room was great with interesting mix of cereals, fruits, breads and other cold assortments. All in all a convenient place to stay, close to the main frontage but still very quiet and peaceful. A very central location to explore the Bay of Islands and Northland. Highly recommended.
