We had alovely 2nts stay at the kingsgate. Fab breakfast, staff very helpfull and friendly, especially the chef..we was with a group of friends who all enjoyed themselves as much as we did. Very noisy place to stay. We booked in for two night but wanted to leave after one! tour bus felt like it was parked outside our door meant for early wake up - next night people in the room next to us were going in and out the door all night. Not very restful!.

I apologise for the noise that disrupted your stay. We do our best to minimise the noise from other guests however our staff need to be informed about noise problems so they can address them. On rare occasions we have had to ask guests to leave for making too much noise and disrupting fellow guests. Regards.

Two nights in this very good nice clean hotel. In great location handy to town and wharf. Friendly staff, particularly the restaurant mature morning lady who remembered our first morning's comments and the next day asked about our cape rienga coach trip (that was great). We'd definitely book again.

We had a nice stay at the kingsgate for our 23rd wed anniversary, everything was great, and the breakfast was great as well. We highly recommend a stay here. We have stayed at the kingsgate a number of times for a relax and it has been awesome every time, cheers :).

Stayed 2 nights through a good deal with trade me's travel bug website. Had a problem with booking through trade me, but kingsgate and travel bug sorted it out quickly. Best place we've been to so far! excellent facilities, quality and service - admin even called the tour company to make sure our trip was all sorted (night shift staff are great, cheers mel!). Pool, spa, location and buffet meals are awesome! if you're thinking about this place, it's highly recommended! keep up the excellent hotel management standards! thanks kingsgate paihia - we will be coming back!.

Fantastic stay! kingsgate hotel autolodge paihia in terms of location and being central to everything is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. This is our 2nd visit and would not consider anywhere else. Booked for this particular stay was a suite and 3 standard rooms, which the standard rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We received great service from mel at reception, who at times went beyond the call of duty to ensure our visit went without a hitch and the housekeeping staff who were very helpful and obliging, respected our privacy while attending to our requests with a smile (very rare these days!). We enjoyed other facilities provided ie swimming pool and spa tub, and were spoilt for choice when it came to breakfast, whilst enjoying the wonderful views from the restaurant. We would definitely recommend this place to stay, unwind and relax. Thanks to your staff for making our stay enjoyable and rewarding :) p.s. Great food a short walk away to king wah buffet.

Pluses: very close to the township, room was pleasant enough, restaurant has a lovely view and the restaurant food (both dinner and breakfast) was very good. Minuses: the 'hot' water in the shower was luke-warm at best and ran out quickly and the woman at reception was hopeless (as first-time visitors to paihia a little information about the hotel, let alone the town would have been nice. .

I apologise regarding the hot water situation. We have had problems with our current solar hot water system and our plumber is starting work on installing a bigger holding tank this week. We have recently employed a new receptionist and I am sorry for her lack of local knowledge but this will impove. Regards
