Blackhead Cottage provides farmstay-style bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful valley 10 to 15 minutes from Dunedin city centre. The accommodation is in a warm, tastefully decorated cottage set in a large established garden. Enjoy a drink on the deck or take a short walk over our farmland to see spectacular cliff top views. Nearby are beautiful Tunnel Beach and Blackhead Beach. Head into Dunedin for cultural and heritage attractions or visit Otago Peninsula for close-up wildlife experiences.

The cottage was located out of town but an easy drive into the city. We absolutely loved the location the cottage and the owners there was a fantastic fresh continental breakfast every morning and magnificent rugged ocean veiws just a short stroll away

Beautiful cottage in beautuful setting and so convenient to Dunedin. Barry and Emma could not have been more pleasant and accommodating - we even got mince pies!

From the picture we saw on their website, the Blackhead Cottage appears to be an excellent place to stay and we were certainly not disappointed! Situated on the quite countryside just outside Dunedin, it offered my family a nice place to chill out. The cottage is cosy, well kept and clean. There's a single bedroom and our 2 children slept on the sofa bed in the living room. Continental breakfast is provided. Did we say the larder is the most well-stocked compared to ALL the other places we stayed on our 12-day tour of South Island? Coffee (instant and plunger), tea, chocolate drink, peanut butter, jams, Nutella, Vegemite, Marmite, cooking oil, salt/pepper, sauce, etc! Wow! Just a short walk behind the cottage, right behind a small hill, a million dollar view awaits! We can see the great Pacific Ocean and Tunnel Beach. Priceless! We were quite sad to stay only one night at Blackhead Cottage. This place is really a gem of a place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Blackhead cottage, the cottage was cosy and clean and very well equipped. We were made so welcome by our hosts, we would love to visit again, maybe on our next trip to New Zealand.
