We absolutely enjoyed our stay with Peter and Anna and we highly recommend the place! In general my girlfriend and myself we travel quite a bit and we have seen many places the last couple of years. We never came across a place like Anna and Peter created. To keep it short but sweet: If you like: - nature, - gardens, - handpicked furniture pieces which are stylish but also eco friendly, - having a shower with complete view over the bay in an open-glass-in-house shower, - cooking in a very well equipped kitchen (by far the best we have seen in many different homes on many different continents) - receive some homegrown ingredients (salat, carrots, eggs, potatoes, apples, etc. etc.) --> then you are very well placed at the Hereweka Garden Retreat. We loved our time at Hereweka Garden Retreat! The cottage is spacious and wonderfully laid out (especially the decks and shower!). Peter and Anna were gracious hosts - so friendly at attentive, but we also felt like we had our own space. The grounds are beautiful for walking around, and our son loved helping pick lettuces and apples. We highly, highly recommend it!

Loved this unique peaceful place. A touch of paradise. Home made Muesli, Fresh home made bread and eggs. Every thing was at hand to eat in. Great Cooking facilities.

A lovely retreat in a perfect setting, perched amongst forest and gardens above one of Otago Peninsula's inlets. Anna and Peter were great hosts, and we enjoyed the daily delivery of milk from the farmer's gate and freshly cooked bread. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Hereweka Garden Retreat. The cabin and the gardens are beautiful, the location is stunning, and Anna and Peter are charming and kind. We arrived on Christmas Day, and they invited us to join their family Christmas dinner, which was wonderful.
