Hotel Motel Taieri is situated in the town of Mosgiel on the Taieri Plans. It is just 10 minutes drive south from Dunedin city centre and 15 minutes from Dunedin Airport.
We have Studio rooms,3 and 2-bedroom units available. Restaurant, bar and conference facilities. Ample parking. Walking distance to town centre. Liquorland on site.

We stayed in unit (12) 2bdrm self contained. Very clean, comfortable, tidy and accommodating. Only down fall was the rattly windows during the night when the trains went past. Great modern unit (10) with three bedrooms and full kitchen. Would be ideal if you needed to stay for a week or so, but at that price was still great value for one night. Would go back. Also pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was given location next to pub.

Pretty basic. In need of spruce up and someone before us obviously smoked so it smelt stale. Probably wouldn't go back.

We stayed in unit 5 and had a good time, the room was nice, clean and spacious and i loved the size of the bathroom, not crammed in like most others, having the restuarant in the same complex was great, i would stay there again the next time i'm down that way

Room was recently refurbished, which was great. Had problems with online payment, motel claimed I had not paid, as I had no pc I could not give proof. When I asked if I could use their computer to do so, I was told to go to the computer shop down the road to get required info. As it was a Sunday it was closed, in end I carried on with my travels, I have still heard from Hotel Taieri, I thought a call to say it was all sorted would have been the right thing to do as I wasted several cellphone calls trying to get it sorted. I will not stay there again.

Dear Jock I apologise for the extra hassles you endured on your stay here. I was unaware of any problems so have not contacted you to discuss this as I would have immediately. As discussed on the phone today (28/12/09), it has been discovered that the staff member concerned was unaware that the payment had already been made on your booking, I have made this aware to all staff checking people in to prevent this happening again. Thank you for drawing this to my attention as it is always our intention to ensure our customers have an enjoyable stay and as we discussed I look forward to seeing you again sometime soon on your travels.

Adequate and value for the $85 paid. Some shades for the lights would enhance otherwise comfortable and clean.
