Alta Apartments featuring 11 brand NEW self contained three bedroom apartments are Queenstowns' newest sustainable luxury holiday apartments which opened in August 2007. Nestled in the foothills of Queenstown in a quiet residential location, all apartments enjoy stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range.
Alta Apartments feature modern stainless steel Bosch appliances, Sharp 32" LCD high definition televisions with Sony home theatre systems and wall mounted rear speakers.
Double glazed windows and doors, 5-Star insulation, gas fireplace in the lounge room, underfloor heating in the bathrooms and convection heaters in all the bedrooms ensures that you and your guests will be warm and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel Sharp microwave oven, Bosch dishwasher, Bosch four burner gas cooktop, Bosch fan forced oven and fully ducted rangehood. Your apartment also includes its own laundry with easy-to-use "fuzzy logic" washer and wall-mounted fully ducted clothes dryer. All apartments feature FREE access to 21 channels of Sky Digital TV including Sky News, CNN, the racing channel Trackside, and the Disney channel and Nickelodeon for the children. All apartments have wireless broadband internet access; prepaid internet cards can be purchased from the on-site manager.
Alta luxury Apartments are fortunate to be only 10 minutes walking distance from the vibrant nightlife of central Queenstown. Or if you'd prefer you can catch a taxi for under ten dollars. Few Queenstown luxury apartments are this handy to town.

Fantastic stay - we booked for 3 nights and loved it so much booked another night. We arrived late and was glad our instructions etc was in a envelope with our name on - no dramas it was all good:) Helen and her staff were very helpful and suggested some very good options and sites for us to visit. The appartments were both 5 star. Thank you very much for a enjoyable stay - we will definatley be back in the winter maybe not this year but will be back next year....:)

An enevelope was stuck to the office door with our pin number to access our apartment - which anyone could have done! - this was disappointing we would have liked to have seen someone in person. The apartment was spacious but the single beds had been placed in the master bedroom with ensuite (much to our teenage daughters delight!) A fold out bed had been requested the day before but when we arrived there wasn't one so a phone call to management was made and eventually one was delivered - we gave up waiting for them to come and put it up. We washed the dishes as they were dirty especially the cutlery drawer even the tray was filthy. The master ensuite shower drain did not work, water was coming into the bedroom. Parking was limited if you had more than one vehicle. We really missed having that "personal touch" that many other facilities have. We won't be back.

I am surprised as we had not had any complaints prior/or since this guests stay. I admit that there was an oversight re the foldaway bed which was rectified instantly. When single beds are requested we only have the king bed that can be split into single beds - the King bedroom does have the ensuite. To try to split a queen bed into single beds would make the single beds so small that they would be unusable. The office is advertised as being open between 9 and 3 so if a guest arrives outside that time span then we do leave envelopes on reception door - we have been doing this for 4 years now and never has it created any problems or security risk - once the guest has the key no one except management can access their apartment. Since the guest left the shower has never flooded - we cant be held responsible for what guests do in the bathroom - any major problems are sorted as soon as they are brought to the staffs attention - as we have been unable to find any fault with the drain we have to assume that this was a one off problem. When guests book either directly or through an agent they are informed that the apartments are self sustainable therefore they should not expect "personal touch" except in an emergency or if staff involvement is required between 9 and 3. We also wonder why if there were so many problems that the guest did not speak to management during the office hours or at least contact the manager on the afterhours number that is given to each guest. It is always difficult to defend oneself if complaints are made many days after the guest has left. We do wish you well.
