Set in the heart of New Zealand's adventure capital, A Boutique Hotel Queenstown House is close enough to walk(4mins) to the vibrant hub of downtown, but far enough to be private and quiet. The elevated position providing spectaculor views over Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountain ranges.
National Geographic Traveller Magazine, March 2006, chose Queenstown House in their "12 Top picks "of places to stay in NZ.
Having offered hosted, upmarket accommodation for 28 years, the renown Boutique Hotel offers a choice of rooms, aluxurious suite with private deck and fireplace to charming main house hotel rooms all with an individual style. Hosting a maximum of 24 guests.
Host, International traveller and hiker, Louise Kiely and her friendly team ensure guests spend their time as relaxed and privately as they wish or as energetically and entertained.
To start the day, a gourmet breakfast menu is offered in the Lake View Dining-room or in the privacy of a guest room.
Every evening guests are invited to a hosted complimentary pre-dinner get together.During the winter months in front of the stoneclad fire in the library, in the summer on the outdoor decks. Sample New Zealand wine, cheeses and seasonal treats, exchange experiences and share restaurant recommendations.
While dinner is available on request, Queenstown house is close to town where guests will find a vast selection of bars and restaurants comparable with busy cosmopolitan centres.
Queenstown House has off-street parking, bag and car storage, laundry facilities or valet service and wireless internet connection.
We offer complimentary off street parking to all our guests who are staying.
Christmas and new year is the festive time at Queenstown House,checkin or checkout on 25th December and 1 January is not accepted.

I had no idea what to expect when I arrived in Queenstown. what I found exceeded all expectations. The inn is very clean and exceedingly well maintained. Louise has paid every possible attention to detail, from the pesto appetizers and wine during the late afternoon mixer to the fresh orange juice and delicious plums available as you select your breakfast course. I had arrived a couple of days before tramping the Milford and Routeburn Tracks with Ultimate Hikes, and I was able to stay here, stow my bags for the 8 day hike, then return for a couple of days. I stayed in a nicely furnished two room suite up over the house that had everything one might need including a kitchenette, wifi, and sedan before the trip. Upon my return, stayed in a very nice suite with full living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry facilities. The best part of Queenstown House, however, is Louise. she anticipates every need, and offers assistance at every turn with restaurant recommendations and advice on local side trips. I really felt like a guest in her home the entire stay. I will definitely return to Queenstown House on future visits.

The room is very good; the view great; the hostess great; the breakfasts great; the 3 block walk back to the inn from downtown Queenstown a killer.

Thank you Paul glad you enjoyed your stay, we enjoyed meeting you too,the killer hill I do in 4 mins, a more gentle option is to walk through the Queenstown Gardens and enjoy the scenery, this can take 12 to 20 mins !! Or there is always the NZ$6 taxi for after dinner. Look forward to your next visit, Louise

The helpfulness of the staff was truly impressive. My only very minor complaint would be to suggest somewhat more generous food tasting with the evening glass of wine.
