We had a great stay making the most of the millennium's "autumn special". Room was basic but good value, the kids loved the pool and the staff were without exception friendly and helpful going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Great hotel for families with children. .

Great low price, economical stay. Rooms are very dated though as is ensuite. Water pressure in shower not good enough for a decent shower. Room very cosy in size but it was a discount deal so we didn't expect the best room in the house! very helpful concierge - recommeneded excellent local eateries. We had paid for 2 nights and had vouchers in hand but they had only received booking for one night so lucky there was a room available second night!! would stay again but would get a bigger room for 3 people (2 adults one child) as room too small. Would also check water pressure in shower.

Overall enjoyed stay at this hotel. Very long walk to room which wouldn't be much good for elderly so would pay to ask for a room closer to lobby. Very handy to shops, restaurants etc. Only complaint was that left room at 9.30am and put sign out for service. Still not done when we returned at 2pm and weren't very helpful when we asked how much longer it would be.

I would like to thank the concierge for his excellent service (sorry i can't remember his name). I had my elderly mother with me and he took our luggage and then decided it was too far for her to walk to the room they had booked us in and asked the desk if there was another room available. They changed our room and we had a lovely stay, thank you.

We enjoyed our stay - excellent staff service in all areas. Would definitely stay again as good value for money and handy situation. Dinner at restaurant very good with excellent staff. Room service appreciated and prompt. E.

Good stay, rooms a little dated and stuffy but the kids enjoyed the pool. Only critique i'd add was when a senior staff member was correcting/telling off another staff member, this should not be in front of your guests as they arrive for breakfast! perhaps a matter to settle behind closed doors when discussing how she should clock her time etc.

We had a really great stay. We loved it and would definitely book again with millennium. We've stayed with novotel rotorua and rydges as well, but we really enjoyed this hotel. Room was a cozy size but the beds could do with an upgrade. Didn't try the hotel breakfast but we really enjoyed being able to drive around and eat out. .

Great location, great facilities and wonderful service by the porters and the man behind the reception desk. The only slight negatives are rooms are slightly dated and our ensuite needed better ventilation.

The hospitality & service we experienced at the millennium hotel rotorua was exemplary. On arrival, the desk staff were most helpful, very friendly, smiled, which made a positive start to our stay. They also explained the numerous attractions around the city & when we mentioned golf, the male attendant immediately rang the springfield golf club (they sponsor the club) & arranged a tee-off time & a very special green fee price. After our round of golf, we were hosted & well looked after by the club professional. A very nice golf course & friendly members. The buffet breakfast at the hotel could be improved. Even though we arrived well before closing hour, several dishes had all been eaten & not replaced. Some dishes had been too long under the heat lamp. The shower in our room needs replacing as the water pressure spray was inadequate. The rooms & the hotel overall was very clean & for its age, well maintained. On departure, the desk staff once again were extremely courteous & helpful.
