Overall it was good, however there were a number of downfalls: - the managers had to ask me 3 times over my stay about the specifics of the deal i had booked. - i ordered 2 x continental breakfasts which came late and weren't accurate to what we'd ordered. - there was a cockroach in the kitchen. Apart from that, the place and people were lovely. I would probably stay there again.

Comfortable room , great heated pool for the boys , not far from the unit. The only thing really we could say is not very good or adequate lighting , defintely could do with more lights, the lighting in the lounge was very poor, made it difficult to watch T.V. and definitely could not read a book at night.

Simply Fantastic!..the whole family enjoyed the pool, the mount bikes and the clean warm and spacious units. Having a family unit with two separate separate living areas and two TV'S made it a real holiday...the kids had their space and we had ours. The proprietors Gillian and Steve looked after us and were friendly and helpful, nothing seemed a problem. We have already booked for the next holiday...and looking forward to coming back. Excellent for the kids, will be staying again next time passing through Rotorua. Room was quiet in lucky 12A (13). Beautiful heated pool and we all liked the private spa. The mountain bike tracks were close by - thanks for the fre bike hire - and walked to the stadium for Raggamuffin. Breakfast and the late checkout service was above our expectations And fantastic people who spend their time creating such a warm environment. Big THUMBS UP for trialling the heat exchange system they are using for their hot water, fingers crossed they record enough data to convince others!!! We enjoyed our stay & would stay at the Alpin again. The private spa pool was great. Friendly hosts. We are from Auckland & I would recommend the Alpin for an excellent weekend escape for Aucklanders.

Room definitely in need of a renovation, but okay value for money. Try and get a room away from the road - it'll be quieter. The pool and BBQ facilities are great.

We booked for 2 nights and after a short time decided to stay an extra night. We had a family size unit which was great. The unit opened back onto a lawn and fenced pool area which the kids loved.We would certainly stay here again and would highly recommend it, especially to familys.
