  • We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lake view was awesome, the staff were very friendly, our shower worked great and is the perfect spot for a quiet get away whilst still having rotorua town so close. Definitely value for money especially with free bbq, kayaks and wifi and we will stay again :). 5

  • Very beautiful lake view from the window and we really enjoyed the quiet night there. There staff there was very helpful and we borrowed kayaks from the motel. Highly recommend for others and would love to be there next time. One little thing is the milk in the fridge was bad. Please check that regularly. 5

  • We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. Di was a warm and helpful host. When i approached her for more teabags and milk, which had not been replenished promptly in my unit, she immediately attended to my request. The room was clean... No complaints. I would recommend this accommodation as it is value for money!. 5

  • An ok place & tidy inside but we ran out of hot water after a 6 min shower which wasnt so bad as the wee hot water cylinder was hot again after 30 mins-but you had to be aware of this when doing the dishes.also the room wasnt serviced so we had to ask for more coffee then more milk etc etc.included in the deal was the use of a spa pool but we went over & it was disgusting, looked like it hadent been cleaned in end, i think it was more the manager than the motel its self so a bit of sorting in that department would be of benefit. 1

  • Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to place your feedback. Having brought this to our attention, we have recently had all our hot water cylinders checked. We have also implemented new procedures with our spa pool to ensure every guest has an enjoyable stay with us. Thank you again.

  • What a disappointment, I read the reviews and thought I had picked a safe choice for our family and our Australian friends. There was no one at reception to check in. After finding the phone in the laundry to call the owner and waiting 10 mins for them to locate keys we manage to go inside only to be told not to squash any flies on their newly painted walls. We found dirty cups in the kitchen cupboards and felt like we were in a goldfish bowl I am amazed at the marketing dream the advertising made this place out to be. When we had to help some poor guests who were wandering around in the dark at 8.30pm to find a light in the laundry (which was blown) we used our own mobile phone to help them call to check in. At this point the owner came out and accused us off using their phone!!! Sorry I have stayed in a large number of motels and this was a huge disappointment and thoroughly unprofessional. 1

  • Beautiful location. We have booked a unit for 6 people through Travel Bug, but found out the room had only 5 beds, however, this was dealt with very efficiantly and we were given an additional room, which was more than enough. The host (Di)was there to meet us even though we arrived late (at 8.00pm). The units are well equipped with cooking utencils. The family unit we got was very clean with comfortable beds. It would have been a bit small for 6 people unless you are only two adult and 4 children. The grounds are really nice and well kept. It is a bit out of Rotorua, but if you have a car, this not a problem. We wished we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this property to families and all other travellers and with such reasonable rates it is a great place to stay for a few days 5
