Situated in picturesque Ohakune, at the foot of Mount Ruapehu, Ossies offers ideal accommodation year round.
Ohakune is on the doorstep of the world heritage Tongariro National Park, and is 20 minutes drive from the Turoa Skifields.
Make the most Ossies summer discounted rates and come to Ohakune to enjoy some of the most beautiful walking tracks in the country, including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Old Coach Road. There are a number of amazing cycle tracks to enjoy and for those less active, plenty of rivers to fish.
All units at Ossies are fully self contained, self catering and have upstairs sleeping. They have drying rooms for damp ski gear and are cosy and well heated.
Our midweek winter specials are designed to entice couples to the slopes Sunday to Thursday. Avoid the queues and come and stay with us for 5 nights for a total of $410.
Our 5 bedroom chalets are HUGE, sleeping up to 13 people - ideal for work and family trips away. There is a wood burner in the lounge and loads of space for everyone.
There is plenty of off street parking at Ossies and as well, Ossies has its own ski and board rental and is the home of telemark skiing in New Zealand.

The reason why i chose ossies was because of all the great reviews and we certainly weren't disappointed. Probably the best value for money that we have ever had. Clean, quiet and excellent facilities. Very good budget accommodation. Manager, bex, is great - very helpful and great hospitality skills - would recommend and stay again and again (which we do whenever we can get down to some blue sky ski days).

Good value for money - clean, quiet, great location - just a short drive to everything. Friendly, helpful staff. Only negative was lighting very dark in evening but we would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

This place is really good value for money.We were only looking for a place to spend the night during the long drive from Waitomo to Wellington and we found a gem .The chalet was huge and the everything was so clean and comfortable.Although we had no chance to meet the owners as we arrived late,my kids said this is the best place they stayed in during our 2-week stay in New Zealand.

Great place to stay! Full value for the price! But came with a bit of a shock at first. The person at the reception said to me that the linen did not come with the price and that I had to pay for it separately. This she said would have been made clear while booking. This was not the case. It was never advised at all at any time. She gave it to me for no extra charge but it ended up looking like she was doing me a favour! Didn't need that when I had paid the full price that was listed!

Hi Josh I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and found our complex good value for the price. I am sorry about your issue with the linen. I have just looked back on our product description on Travelbug and see that we state on all products (except the mid week special for two) that base linen only is provided and that reception is to be advised prior to arrival if full linen is required. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. i will modify our product description for the mid week special for two, to ensure that other guests do not encounter the same problem
