StDavids is the perfect place to escape, unwind and relax.
An ideal touring base and superb for skiers and winter sports enthusiasts.
Tongariro National Park, a dual World Heritage site is 25mins drive - Ruapehu Ski area a further 15 mins.
StDavids is an ideal base for the Tongariro Crossing - Lonely Planets No1 World walk.
Whanganui National park - Te Maire walk is 10mins drive.
A challenging golf course is a five minute drive.
World class fly fishing is just minutes walk - over the stile at the end of the street you enter the Whanganui riverside fields then down to the river.
Locally there are jetboat & quad tours, kayaking - walks and cycle & mountain biking.

Great value for money. We loved this spacious and stylish accomodation. Caretakers very friendly. Township is pretty quiet, with not much to see/do but this is a great base for fishing, skiiing etc in wider area. 5AMANDA JOHNSON - May 8, 2013 Travelbug verified review

Would recommend st davids. Big place, comfortable and warm, didn't need any heating, well provided with equipment. Neighbourhood was very quiet; not at all dodgy. Good range of shops/takeaways. Stayed to walk the tongariro crossing, found it was near enough to get to the car park before 7.00. Communication good and les and jenny welcoming. Only negative was that it could do with a dust; but the positives far outweigh this, and would use again, as really good value for money.

Had a great time here house (removated church) is great with lots of quirky features. Great for three couples on a weekend away as 3 queen bedrooms all with their own en-suites. Only negative comment was could do with the cobwebs cleaned up as if you have an aversion to spiders you may feel uncomfortable. Also bbq was not very clean but that could have been previous occupants - a shame as the outside space was great. Despite being in the middle of lots of housing neighbours were quiet and friendly would recommend this to anyone.

Superb!! and fabulous!! - what more can we say. Loved this place so much. Nothing had been spared to make our stay truely memorable. The welcome and communication were exemplary. Looking forward to another stay in winter. Thank you stdavids.

Absolutely loved stdavids - great location for our day trips, the river at the end of the street was a real treat. Everything imaginable was provided. And loved the art and the spacious library. Found it hard to leave the fabulous living and dinning room though. Thank you stdavids - we will be back and so will our family & friends.

Nice cozy place to stay with very helpful les & jenny. However, scary, dodgy-looking neighbourhood...left the place a day earlier. Will definitely not be repeating this town again.

Had a wonderful stay, despite the rain. St david's had everything we needed, was perfectly located and it was topped off by les & jenny, who were wonderfully friendly. Highly recommended. We'll be back!.

The house is very comfortable & tastefully decorated. Jenny & les were very helpful & the kids loved having their own ensuites and tvs in their rooms! the fire was great, and plenty of wood. It was a surprise to find it is a converted church! .
