Parkview Apartments in National Park Village are family owned holiday apartments with unobstructed views to the east towards the Tongariro National Park. From the upper level lounge/dining area, views of Mt Ruapehu are expansive.
The Tongariro Alpine Crossing on Mt Tongariro is open until June with the full Tongariro Alpine Crossing opening on May the 8th. Mountain biking is popular in the Ruapehu region at this time of the year.
From July Whakapapa and Turoa Ski Areas come alive.
These new apartments (completed December 2011) are modern and comfortable as a base while enjoying your adventures within the Ruapehu region.
Walking distance to the National Park Village convenience area including gas station and Macrocarpa Cafe and convenience store. Restaurants of various type are also within walking distance.
These apartments are of the highest quality and are priced to be affordable, comfortable and convenient in location.

After a four night stay here i feel well qualified to say this is great accommodation. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful view of the mountain, beds really comfortable and great communication with owners. Watch out for the water pressure in the shower - it is really powerful and if you are not careful the shower head will water the other side of the bathroom!! location is fantastic to plan day trips around tongariro national park and easy walking to one of the best restaurants we have been to in ages. It is called station café and restaurant in national park village. It was so good we returned a second evening. Just the most amazing menu at great prices. Fantastic service and friendly staff in an iconic environment (just wait till a train goes through :). We had a great stay, in fact, i wish we could have stayed for longer! we had a good view of the mountain, the amenities were all new and clean and the place was comfortable and well decorated. We couldn't get the tv to work, but since we had just done the crossing, we were mostly too tired to watch anyway. I would definitely stay here again and for more than just 2 nights.
