Welcome to Plateau Lodge, we are a family run lodge with a variety of accommodation. We cater for single travellers, families or large groups. Our range of accommodation varies from budget beds to private double/family rooms (with or without a bathroom) or a modern two bedroom apartment. Plateau Lodge is located In New Zealand's North Island set in the heart of the National Park Village located on the edge of the Tongariro National Park. We are located at the foot hills of Mt Ruapehu, Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe, the landscape of sacred volcanoes. Tongariro National Park is a haven for New Zealand's largest & most developed ski area, Whakapapa, Turoa & Tukino, while summer boasts the best one day hike in New Zealand Tongariro Crossing. Transport is available daily all year round. In summer & winter National Park accommodation boasts spectacular views of all three volcanoes covered in either glistening snow or deep red volcanic rock. National Park accommodation is in a small village with hire equipment, bars, cafes and supermarket they are all in walking distance from Plateau Lodge, a perfect getaway in the Tongariro Park.

18-sep,2012 three of us enjoyed a very comfortable night in very clean and warm surroundings. The owners clearly enjoy what they do and the service they provide.helpful advise on what to do and where to eat while there. Thanks,will tell our friends. .

Unfortunately when we arrived there our accommodation had been manually entered in for the wrong nite!!!!and ALL other accomodation at National Park totally booked out for that Saturday night But Zeus from the Plateau Lodge phoned around to his contacts within the village and placed us in a very lovely private home that was available out of the winter season. So "Thumbs Up" to Zeus for an unfortunate error made right.
