Under new management since 20 January 2012.
Peaceful spacious country park set in 28 acres surrounded by mountains and rivers. For those who love to view the night sky, there's no need to worry about town light pollution to drown out the natural wonder of the Aurora Australis and the spectacular milky way.
Enjoy a relaxed farm setting complete with hand reared farm animals for all to enjoy. 3km from Mossburn on SH 97, this is the perfect stop over point approximately half way between Queenstown and Te Anau. Close to fishing rivers, hunting, tramping, new cycle trail and Fiordland.
Fully equipped kitchen, 12 shower/toilets, laundry, linen hire, TV, Zenbu wireless internet and dump station. Large sites. 7 clean, comfortable cabins (ranging from a double room for a couple to a large cabin that sleeps up to 8), maximum of 25 beds. Pets by arrangement. Sports, school and social groups welcome.

Very friendly and helpful managers. Facilities OK - not Top10 level but not as pricey either. Some items like the door lock need attention but that didn't detract. One thing - there are little signs everywhere with requests/instructions, that we found a little over-bearing.

Thanks for feedback. Many of the signs have to do with our country location, health and safety issues,and ensuring a pleasant stay for everyone. Eg 1)we are not on town water, so conserving water is crucial to our viability to remain open 2)keeping doors closed keeps much loved chickens out of kitchen 3)dogs are allowed here (which is appreciated by those who bring them),but tight guidelines exist to protect other guest 4)our showers are awesomely hot (heaps of favourable comments in visitors book) due to our wood fired heating system, but this means water from tap is hot, so warning signs are there to protect children, and related to this is if someone forgets to turn off a tap then we can lose our entire hot water supply which makes for a lot of other unhappy guests. Agreed we are not Top10, but instead offer things they don't usually offer: a peaceful quiet stay where guests can pat an alpaca, choose their own site and not be packed in like sardines.

Very friendly manager. The accomodation was more basic than i expected--perhaps I didn't read the information properly! Plenty of blankets and hot water bottles provided in case of a cold night though.
