Sails Ashore & Kowhai Lane Lodges offer a superb Island Experiences for our guests. Sails Ashore is a Boutique Bed & Breakfast and Qualmark 4 Star +. Kowhai Lane is self catered and Qualmark 4 Star. Iris & Peter will make you feel like friends come to stay and are full of information about what to see and do. Central heating keeps the outdoors at bay on the chillier days. Please note both places are two night minimum stay and both are packaged with a “Sails” Guided Ulva Island Walk, which adds $115 pp to the first night tariff.www.sailsashore.co.nz/ulva. This is due on arrival.
We are Concessioned Dept of Conservation Guides and our "Sails" guided exploration of Ulva Island open sanctuary offers an in-depth look at the natural history of this animal free island. Our scenic road tours explore the village and bays with a commentary focusing on Island life from early Maori to the present day.
