Welcome to Lambourne Cottage Alpaca Farmstay. Lambourne Cottage is a self-contained, boutique accommodation in French provincial decor creating that lovely romantic setting. It is close to New Plymouth city and all amenities yet still rural and quiet.
Are you looking for that ideal wedding night retreat? Could you want to get away from the city for some peace and quiet and experience the Taranaki Region?
Lambourne Cottage is separate from the main house and is therefore private, peaceful, and relaxing - just what you need after a long and busy day sightseeing, visiting friends, or conducting business.
You will be able to relax and enjoy a drink outside your cottage and listen to native birds and watch the Alpacas feed right outside your window
We are:
* 5 minutes drive from the famous coastal walkway, beach, and award-winning Te Rewa Rewa Bridge
* 10 minute taxi ride to the city centre, Pukekura Park - home to The Festival of Lights
* 5 minutes to the The New Plymouth Golf Club - Ngamotu Links
* 15 minutes to Yarrow Stadium
* 30 minutes to Mt Taranaki and tramping
* 4 minutes to a licensed restaurant & takeaways
* 5 minutes to supermarket and shopping "The Mega Valley"
* Your hosts Barb & Lloyd also offer a free airport pick-up
* Paddock available for horses on the go for events or shows
* Environmentally friendly so please no smoking in the cottage
* Pet friendly on request. Dogs, however, are required to be on leads because of stock but if well trained are more than welcome in the open paddocks where there is no stock.

This is a superb place to stay! so neat and attractively presented. The hosts are kind hearted and welcoming. I had the most peaceful stay and even got to see a baby alpaca arrive in the world. Look forward to returning. Clara lange - february 2013.

Lambourne Cottage was a delightful place to stay with its quiet rural location and comfortable cottage. Hosts, Lloyd and Barbara, were friendly and helpful - always ensuring a welcoming retreat when we returned from our days tiki-touring the Taranaki. The extra touches of chocolate by the bedside and lavender toiletries were a treat. We loved the alpacas at the window, and the dogs are very cute! Thanks for sharing your place with us. Just spent a very relaxing time at lambourne cottage. Barb and lloyd have created a very special place and we were lucky to be able to share in this. They have thought of everything and would rival any 5 star accommodation offered. Highly recommend to anyone that wants a great get away and relaxing stay.

It was lovely place to stay. Not only the owners, the animals there are friendly and so cute, especially alpacas and three dogs! It is beautifully decorated room. I totally recommend this B&B.

Stayed for three nights at Lambourne Cottage with my daughter and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Great hospitality, lovely accommodations, and convenient to New Plymouth and environs. And I shouldn't fail to mention that the alpacas are adorable and great entertainment. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely weekend in a comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Barb and Lloyd were super welcoming and friendly. Breakfast supplies were perfect and I slept so well on the wonderful bed. The alpacas and the interior design of the cottage were special touches too. Thanks!
