Stratford Heritage Lodge is a "flash-packer" style lodge located close to main town area. We are the perfect choice for flashpackers - independent travelers who can afford more amenities and privacy than most hostels can offer without paying motel prices.
Stratford Heritage Lodge has 7 rooms (3 Single, 2 Twin, 2 Queen) max of 11 people. Every room has its own heater, TV and handbasin with hot and cold running water. Shared facilities include a new kitchen, delightful lounge/dining room two separate toilets and showers. Full linen beds, towels etc all supplied. Private outdoor area with outdoor furniture, BBQ and Gazebo available. Off-street parking. We are also fully licensed transport operators and can arrange transfers to Egmont National Park, Matemateaonga Track and New Plymouth airport (discounted for guests).
We are located only 300m from main shopping area and restaurants. Continental breakfast available on request or Stratford has cafes that open 7 days a week for breakfast.

As a restfull interlude while passing by I found that it was well appointed with all requirements and very friendly owners. As it is a smaller Lodge it is more friendly and personal than many larger establishments. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Lodge to anyone.

Stayed during the easter sunday and monday. Very hospitable and enjoyed the "eastern" taranaki experience. Carol and Dave were very helpful and gave a lot of tips on places to go and visit. They made the visit very enjoyable. Highly recommended and will definitely look at making a return visit. Thanks !!

What a wonderful weekend. The rooms were good, guests were friendly, and you could not ask for a better host! The bicycle were well maintained and it comes with clean helmets.

Dave and Carol are just the best hosts. The lodge is well located and the facilities are top notch. The bikes / bike trail was great fun for the whole family. Making for a perfect weekend away. Looking forward to going back for one of the tramping packages.
