Comments about this property

  • Should have taken Greyview room instead of family room. We got both, however realized should take 2 Greyview rooms. There was stunning views from the room with free breakfast, and there were 1 double bed and 1 single bed in a very bright room. It was a very good offer. The family room is a little dark and squashed with 3 beds, and couldn't find any chair to sit in the room. Overall it was good place to stay within budget.

  • What a shambles, right hand not knowing what left hand doing. Room had a dead cockroach on pillow, no fridge, we were moved from pillar to post. No view as promised on the booking. I have written to management in Auckland. I received a phone call from the Manager and he was going to get back to me...............still waiting and this was in May. Would not recommend to my friends. Shame really cause Rotorua is a beautiful place and this is one of the first hotels you see when entering the town. Staff were hopeless. Room dirty. Couldn't even get a basic breakfast order right. Never mind chalk it up to experience and a waste of money.

  • I was not impressed with this hotel, on arrival there was no mention of the 2 cocktail drinks or desserts that came with our package deal, after long arguement was told the hotel does not honour promotions and "too bad"...then we get to our room it was 10pm there were no outside lights, no heaters or electric blankets no central heating/NOTHING, and the room was grotty with used tissues and mold, the internet is only available in the lobby for a fee (not free in room at advertised)...i had the junior suite but it really is the worst motel i have stayed at...

  • The room had everything needed. The view was great. The room was big and clean. Would come back and stay there again.

  • The room had not been cleaned - Long black hairs on the bedding, crumpled sheets and a ripped open shampoo sachet in the bathroom. We were also charged for the "free complimentary breakfasts". Will never stay here again.

  • The room was everything we needed. The view from the windows of the gesyer and mud pool was brilliant. The room was worn but was lovely and clean. Alarm clock dosen't work but then it made us work out how to use the alarm on our mobiles so that was good. Would stay there again.

  • The room was very basic but clean. The bath had stains. The curtains did not close properly. The breakfast (continental) was very very basic, just supermarket bread and jam and cereals in a plastic packets. No yoghurt and only fruit from a tin. Dinner was ok. Reception didn't have my travel bug booking upon arrival and therefore upgraded me to a room with geiser view. I will not stay there again.
