Comments about this property

  • Good, very clean and comfortable. People very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed staying there. Highly recommend.

  • Was a good place to stay. About a ten minute drive to the middle of town. So not too far away. We were in a upstairs studio unit. Welcomed very warmly by a very nice lady. Our unit was nice, clean and tidy. They cleaned our unit every day which was nice too! Only down side was a somewhat lacking cooking area. Only a microwave to cook with, and a knife so blunt it couldn't chop our onions! No worries though, we brought our electric frypan just in case anyway, so we survived.

  • Thank you very much for your comments. glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our upstairs units do not have the same cooking facilities that some of our other units have. But we always have spare hot plates and electric frypans for those that want to cook, but want to be upstairs. Glad you mentioned the knife, that is not something that is not really practical to test, so helpful if we are told then we can put a sharp one in the room. Thank you Helen and Nigel Pedersen

  • Another great stay. I made an error in my booking and arrived a day early, but the problem was quickly sorted and I had a room for the 2 nights I required, and in the event that the weather had closed in there was a room available at short notice. Fortunately I managed to get out of Napier and return home and the extra night was not required. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

  • Thank you for your comments Alison. Glad you enjoyed your stay. A shame, though ,that Napier didn't turn on it's usual sunny weather for you. Regards Helen and Nigel.

  • ok ok
    DAVID ZHOU - Dec 26, 2008
  • nice room, but noisy location. Popular with the truckies who aree on the adjacent highway by 5.30-6.00am. Ok if you're an early riser!
    Paul Norton - Feb 28, 2008
  • Thank you Paul for your valid comments. Truck drivers are welcome guests who spend long hours delivering goods for the consumers needs. We understand that they may some times disturb other guests with their early starts. Although noisy guests returning late from their night out, in turn, disturb them. However, they are rarely here at the weekends and we offer all of our guests complimentary earplugs to ensure a good nights sleep, wherever the source of noise may come from. Which work a treat.

  • Room to small and double bed unusable, wife and myself slept in the single, let a day early with no refund. Would not recommend.
    Paul Holmstrom - Feb 12, 2008
  • Unfortunately Mr Holmstrom did not let us know that they found the bed uncomfortable. Our guests comfort is a priority and we would have happily moved them to another room. He also, did not ask for a refund for his unused night, just left with no comment. We took over this motel late last year and some of the beds were less than ideal, we now have 13 new queen sized beds. Ironically, we have not replaced the bed in question. It is relatively new, we both tested it and although it is not a firm bed, it does not sag and has no roll together. Bed firmness is definitely a matter of personal taste. We buy medium beds to try to satisfy the majority but some complain they are too hard for them.
