  • Room was more or less clean. Balcony in need of a repaint. No Air Conditioning or fan in room, and overlooking the intersection I was not keen to leave my door open to catch the breeze, on a really hot and humid weekend. Breakfast was adequate for the price. I have stayed in hotels and motels all over the world and basically you get what you pay for. Not the greatest, but certainly not the worst I have been in. Not keen to stay again - mostly because of the street noise.

  • Room was clean but dated. No sky TV as advertised. Balcony rail needs a repaint..the old paint was flaking off and sticking to our arms........about all I was expecting for the price

  • Don't stay here if you like things clean! There was poo and pubic hair all over the toilet in my room and when I called reception someone came and used toilet paper to wipe some of the poo off and said there you go sorry about that, disgusting! If you don't mind filth then it is close to the town centre but the rooms really are just dirty and sticky. I saw two rooms and they both looked like they hadn't had a decent clean in months. Would not recommend and suggest you look for other clean affordable accommodation it does exist in NZ.

  • The notation above is so far from the fact. I the manager attended the room immediately I was notified. I admit there was a small speck in the toilet, I personally recleaned and discinfected the complete bathroom, although that was not nessecary, I did it anyway. I did not encounter any pubic hairs. We take great pride in ensuring the rooms are clean at all times. Manager, Ambassador Motor Inn

  • Close to all amenities and I definitely recommend this motel if you are up to watch rugby or any events at the Waikato Stadium - just a 5 minute walk down the road. Very friendly staff and a big thank you to Allan, Vicky and team. A big thank you to the Travelbug team.
